Accessibility Statement

Hope Empowerment Foundation is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML, landmark regions, and a single primary heading per page
  • Keyboard navigability and visible focus indicators on every interactive control
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA across text and interactive states
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images and empty alt on decorative images
  • Accessible names on icon-only buttons and form controls associated with labels
  • Respect for user motion preferences (prefers-reduced-motion)
  • Screen-reader tested critical flows: donate, apply, volunteer, contact
